Vacation Bible School FAQ

Q. What ages/grades are eligible for Vacation Bible School?
A. We have classes for children entering kindergarten through entering 6th grade.

Q. What are the hours of VBS?
A. Vacation Bible School starts at 9 am and ends at 12:15 pm.

Q. Where do I mail the VBS registration form?
A. The registration form should be mailed to the church office: Centerpointe Presbyterian Church; 3410 Cornerstone Court; Pleasanton, CA 94566

Q. What age do I need to be to volunteer at VBS?
A. Youth entering 7th grade can be helpers at any rotation site or be a part of the worship team. Youth entering 8th grade and above can be youth leaders for VBS participants.

Q. I want to volunteer at VBS, but I have a child who is under 5. What can I do?
A. We provide nursery care for volunteers on each day that they are working for children under 3. Preschool children ages 3-4 are eligible to participate in our preschool program. Please note there is limited availability in this program.

Q. What should my child wear to VBS?
A. We suggest that all children wear clothes that are comfortable and can get messy or wet. Children are playing and running throughout the week so closed toed shoes are also required. We provide a VBS shirt for each child and we recommend that your child wear their shirt for as much of the week as possible.

Q. What if my child has allergies?
A. Please be sure to note your child’s allergies on the registration form. Be advised that we cannot give any over the counter medications to children at any time. We will do our best to accommodate food allergies, but if your child has severe restrictions, we ask that you contact us directly.

Q. I want to help, but I can’t be there every day. Is there still a way for me to help?
A. We have several opportunities for volunteers prior to VBS week and we also have some roles that can be shared between several adults. Please give us a call to discuss.
