Why Centerpointe Kids?

Our goal is to help each and every child develop a loving and lasting relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We do so by using the three R’s - being Relevant, Real and Relational. We meet a child where he or she may be and encourage them to seek Jesus for themselves. One way we work towards that goal is by making learning fun. We use songs, drama, videos, media and other child-centered activities. The lessons are age-appropriate, interactive and relevant for a child in today’s society. We also encourage families to spend time together during the week reviewing the lessons learned in church, as part of the commitment to laying a spiritual foundation upon which the children can build their lives.

Centerpointe Kids Classes

We believe that children learn best in developmentally appropriate learning environments and our classroom groupings reflect this philosophy. However, at certain times of the year, you may see our classes mixed together to allow the children to develop relationships with children of other ages. Be assured that when this type of activity occurs, we still make sure to separate out the children into their relevant groups for application of the lesson.

Preschool children are separated into two groups. Preschoolers aged 2-3 years meet to learn about God through Bible stories, games and crafts. Kids aged 4 and Kindergartners meet together to discover God’s love for them through songs, games and activities.

Elementary school children are also separated into two groups. 1st & 2nd Graders meet together to discover who God is to them using crafts, stories, and fun activities. 3rd & 4th Graders meet to explore what a relationship with God, their peers and their family means to them using skits, crafts and other activities.

Club 56 is our program specially designed for 5th & 6th graders. There they tackle tough subjects like, friends, school and relationships from a Christian point of view during discussion groups and games. We purposely have the 6th graders in this special program as a way to make sure that they do not get lost in the preteen shuffle of middle school. By allowing them to have a special activity all for themselves, they develop better peer groups and continue to stay involved in church. This group also meets monthly outside of church for social activities. Click here to get up to date information about upcoming events for Club 56.
