Kingdom Sized Prayers
PPC has entered a wonderful season of ministry, mission and life together. But we know that apart from the grace of God, the Lordship of Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit, we cannot be the people God desires us to be. So we too gathered in faith to ask God to bring his Kingdom more fully into our lives.

At the heart of our prayers is the absolute conviction that for God’s Kingdom to come and God’s will to be done – here, and now – we needed to genuinely and whole-heartedly seek the power and presence of God.

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”  Ephesians 3:14-19 NRSV

Ask that God give direction and power to our church as we seek to fulfill PPC’s mission, vision and core values. Pray specifically for:

For a heart and spirit of worship in each of our two services focused on adoring God, giving Christ all praise and glory, receiving God’s living word and being energized for Kingdom life in this world.

  • Our worship of God to continually grow in joy, gratitude, praise, and openness to the movement of the Holy Spirit.
  • Deep commitment to the truth and power of the Bible to be at the center of our life together and our witness to the world.
  • Greater degrees of personal transformation and Christ-likeness in all of us for each of our sisters and brothers in the faith
  • For a heart for lost people and for sharing the gospel.
  • PPC to be a place where many people to come to saving faith in Jesus.
  • Increasing commitment to share our faith and the Good News of God’s love in Christ and for more faith stories to be told.
  • That we will be a people of prayer for the Kingdom.
  • Protection from Spiritual Warfare.
  • For our ministry preparations in each area of ministry as part of 365 Days and Counting.
  • The power and presence of the Holy Spirit to be experienced in day-to-day life and ministry.
  • Growth in small groups, Bible studies and teaching ministries such as CBS.
  • Enthusiastic desire to belong to this fellowship and an explosion in the number of people who regularly meet to love and care for each other.
  • Opportunities for every person to find a meaningful place of ministry and for “champions” of creative new ministries to be raised up by God.
  • Every member of our congregation to participate each year in at least one mission or service project that blesses others.
  • Pray for the people and ministries God places on your heart including Elders, Deacons, Staff and Ministry Leaders and teams.
  • Expansion of our mission as God leads us into wider ministry in the Tri-Valley, the San Francisco Bay area, and the in other parts of the world.
  • For provision of the right contractor and for excellent bids and final financial support for our Ironwood development.
  • That God will build us into a spiritual temple.

“Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”  Ephesians 3:19-21 NRSV
