Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women (PW) is a national church wide organization whose membership is open to all women of the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA). PW intentionally seeks the membership of women from all ethnic groups so that the organization reflects a vision of the whole church as a community of mutual interdependence in which diversity contributes to wholeness.

Presbyterian Women’s Purpose

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:

  • to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible Study,
  • to support the mission of the church worldwide,
  • to work for justice and peace,
  • to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the PCUSA and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.

“Duduza” Spells Comfort

Calling all knitters and crocheters to help Presbyterian Women make 10,000 “Duduza” (“comfort” in Swati) Dolls by March 2012. Dolls will be prayed over and blessed and then given to needy children in Swaziland. Many dolls will also be sold through the Heart for Africa Project to raise funds for the El Roi home for abandoned babies in Swaziland. Patterns are available in the back of the Worship Center. Make a doll and extend “duduza” to a child who needs to know that someone cares.
