At Centerpointe

Discovering Your SHAPE

We are all called to a relationship with Jesus and to living as servants of Christ for the benefit of others to the glory of God.  Each of us are called to a place of service in Christ’s body, the church community.  God has equipped us with gifts to be used for the benefit of others and for the demonstration of his kingdom.  We experience tremendous joy when we make a difference in the lives of others by living out our calling to Christ and to serving in his church.

Our desire is for each member of the body of Christ at Centerpointe Presbyterian Church to discover his/her spiritual gifts by evaluating them in the context of his/her heart, abilities, personality and experiences.  Once we know how God has specifically created us, we are better able to discover our call to ministry in the church and most likely to experience the joy of ministry and making a difference in the lives of others.

Stephen Ministry

Someone needs your help right now.

The Stephen Ministry is a confidential, lay-caring ministry grounded in Jesus’ command to love one another. Those who are hurting receive love and support through one-to-one caring relationships. The ministry is named after Stephen, one of the first deacons in the early Christian church, commissioned by the apostles to care for the needs of people in the Christian community.

Everyone goes through difficult times. Having someone to care, to listen, and to share God’s love can help you get through the confusion, stress, or loneliness that you may be experiencing. Please contact the church office to learn more about having a Stephen Minister share your burden. “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

Stephen Ministry makes it on PBS. Find out more.
