Missionaries

Tim Hunt – Heart for Africa: – Tim Hunt serves as an officer for Heart for Africa, a Christian non-profit group that takes large groups of North Americans to Africa to serve with children’s homes on 11-day trips. Heart for Africa works with five children’s homes (orphanages in U.S. terms) in Kenya and Swaziland. Additional information can be found at http://www.heartforafrica.org/.

Glenalyn Hunt – World Race: – Glenalyn Hunt, who grew up in the Centerpointe family, previously had our support for her 11 month, 11 country mission trip called The World Race. She is again working with Adventures in Missions this summer in a ministry for high school students, The Ambassador Program. She is co-leading a trip to the Amazon Jungle, Peru, discipling a group of 12 high school students who will endeavor to meet the needs of the local people in spreading the Gospel, VBS, preaching, teaching, orphan outreach, and feeding the poor. Diana and Howard Mendenhall – Habitat for Humanity: – Our church has supported Habitat since 1989 and during this time, well over 200 people have helped build more that 75 homes in Oakland, Crockett, Richmond and Fremont. Please contact Howard and Diana Mendenhall for more information and how to sign up as a volunteer. You can email them at habitat@centerpointeweb.org. What better way to demonstrate God’s love for people and your concern for those who are less fortunate than we are by helping these families realize their dream of home ownership. One day out of your busy life means so much to the families who will be living in these homes. Additional information on Habitat for Humanity is available at http://www.habitat.org/.
