Brian Marriott
I have been surrounded by music all of my life growing up in a musical home, so it was easy for me to get on my way at a young age. My first two instruments were piano and violin. I married my best friend Lara, who I met in a worship band in January 2000. She is a very talented singer. Lara and I have two kids, Hannah - who likes to dance, draw, and sing – and Josh, our little drummer boy who has tons of energy.
I’ve been known to hop on the back of my motorcycle and disappear for hours (back when I had a motorcycle), or head off on the mountain bike, but these days family adventures like going to the beach, camping, or finding a good pumpkin patch are the latest thing. And it’s no surprise that I enjoy music, and often play my guitar at home in our little studio. We also have family jam sessions with Josh on the pots and pans and Hannah taking the microphone for lead vocal, while Lara and I try to keep up with keyboard and guitar.
It amazes me that God hears and answers our prayers so specifically, both the significant and what we might think of as insignificant smaller prayers. When He answers what I might consider an insignificant prayer, it builds my confidence to know He’s walking this life with me, and gives me more confidence and hope for the future.
Brian’s Ministry Background
As Director of Worship and Arts at Centerpointe I love the opportunity to work with great musicians and artists, and lead the church in worship each week. Some of the most fun is what happens preparing for Sunday during our rehearsals.
