PowerofPrayer2

Kingdom-Centered Prayer

We believe God calls his people in every age to be on the front line of his Kingdom movement in this world. But we know that we cannot fulfill this wonderful calling apart from prayer.

At the heart of our prayers is the absolute conviction that for God’s Kingdom to come and God’s will to be done – here, and now, “on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:7-13) – we must whole-heartedly ask for the love, power and presence of God to be in all that all we do (Ephesians 3:14-19), and to seek “the things that are above” (Colossians 3:1-4) so that God’s priorities are first and foremost before us. Our Core Values statement says it this way:

“Trusting only in God’s strength, guidance and provision, we believe prayer is vital to every aspect of our mission in the world. Our relationship with God in prayer enables us to hear God’s voice to go and be like Jesus to others, brings unity to our efforts, and provides us with the wisdom and power needed to fulfill our calling. Prayer therefore lies at the heart of all we do.”

So we “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) asking God to purify, strengthen, and use this fellowship of believers for his purposes in this world. To be part of our praying community or to make a prayer request, please see the links below.

“A praying church and a praying ministry! Ah, such a church and such a ministry can achieve anything that ought to be achieved. It will go steadily on, beating down all opposition, surmounting every obstacle, conquering every foe, just as much today as it did in the days of the apostles.”
