We Are – Identity and Values

Drawn In – by the saving love of Jesus and called to be part of God’s family.

Filled Up – becoming like Jesus through gathered worship, genuine friendships, spiritual growth, transformational ministry, and audacious prayer.

Sent Out – to be Jesus to others, blessing our community and world as we love and serve our neighbors and participate in the renewing work of the Kingdom of God on earth.

Ours is a story of the love of God being poured into each of our lives by God’s grace. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we receive new life and are filled with steadfast hope. This new life is lived out as a community of Christ followers who have a shared identity.

Our core values flow from our identity and are shaped by Scripture:

Gospel - The Gospel is the true and joyful story of God centered in the life and saving work of Jesus Christ. The Gospel proclaims God’s unconditional love and grace and calls for a response of repentance and belief in Jesus as Savior and Lord of all.
Redeemed People - The liberating power of the Gospel gives us a new identity in Christ and frees us to live for the glory of God. In this new life we are being transformed from the inside out by the power of the Holy Spirit so that we constantly grow to be more like Jesus.
Community – The Gospel calls us into a new, shared way of life where we care for and encourage one another, grow into mature followers of Jesus, and visibly demonstrate to the world what God’s new community of love looks like. We rejoice that the Gospel invites people of all cultures and backgrounds into a family of faith that lives out the welcoming, embracing and healing power of the Kingdom of God.
Loving – Everything we do starts with love… loving God, loving each other, and loving our neighbor. We extend the love we have received by doing what Jesus exemplified and taught in the Gospel.
Serving – It is our joy to live the Gospel “out loud” by sacrificially serving and blessing the people God sends us to with a no-strings-attached approach. We demonstrate the Gospel in action by building relationships with people where they are, providing for those in need, and serving without expectation.
Renewing – God’s Word promises the renewal of all things. We believe the Gospel will have a powerful impact on our valley. We therefore encourage every follower of Jesus to exert a wholesome, loving, and godly influence in every arena of life including family, work, service, culture and the arts. We also commit ourselves to manifesting God’s compassion, righteousness and justice, working for reconciliation, and pouring out God’s love on the hurting and oppressed.
As God Sends Us – We desire to go and share the Gospel in all of its fullness as the Holy Spirit leads and empowers us. We believe every local church is part of the great movement of the Kingdom of God proclaimed by Jesus and we are committed to working in vital partnerships with other congregations to usher in the full reign of God on earth.

Trusting only in God’s strength, guidance and provision, we believe the most powerful action we can take in fulfilling our mission is to pray. Our relationship with God in prayer enables us to hear God’s voice to go and be like Jesus to others, brings unity to our efforts, and provides us with the wisdom and power needed to fulfill our calling. Prayer therefore lies at the heart of all we do.
