Worship Celebrations
At Centerpointe, worship is the focal point for all we do. Our highest calling, our first and foremost duty, is to worship and love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Worship lifts us, as the people of God, into a posture of reverence before the holy and majestic King of the universe.
United by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, we gather in all of our diversity to offer a symphony of praise, thanksgiving and commitment. It is our prayer that the sum of what we do in worship (song, prayers, sacraments, preaching, giving, and response) when taken together, will serve to ignite a unified, heartfelt expression of praise, love and joy by all who gather. We want to be known as a worshipful bunch of people who express in a dynamic way our love for Christ and commitment to His Kingdom.
Worship Expressed From the Heart
We are a multi-generational church with diverse worship tastes, so each Sunday we offer two very distinct worship celebrations designed to help you love, praise and adore God in a “heart language” that fits who God has designed you to be.
9:00 a.m. Blended Worship
This worship service flows from our rich worship heritage. Congregational singing is inspired by the great hymns of the church, contemporary praise songs led by our worship leaders and band, and anthems sung by our choir. Stylistically we blend the worship music together with organ, choir, and band to lead the praise and worship. Meaningful prayers, Scripture, artistic slides or video clips, and a varying mix of traditional elements are added to create a thoughtful worship service in which every worshipper can honor and glorify God in reverence and joy. During the 9am service we offer childcare for ages 0-6th grade with those ages starting in worship.
What you can expect during our blended worship service:
- Great hymns of the church, accompanied by the organ
- Beautiful choral music
- Contemporary praise songs, accompanied by the praise band (drums, bass, guitar, keyboard)
- Meaningful prayers and Scripture reflections
- Thoughtful video clips, use of art, and readings to deepen your worship experience
- A mix of traditional worship elements (varies weekly and includes Creeds, the Lord’s Prayer, Doxologies, and more) designed to engage your heart and mind in the worship of God
- Biblically based sermons designed to inspire and deepen your journey of faith
- Friendly people who want you to know the joy of sharing life together
- Intergenerational “Family Worship” with Children 0-6th grade in service for the first portion of the service
10:30 Contemporary Worship
This worship service is designed to help every worshipper express joyful praise and adoration to God in a more casual, contemporary band-led style. Worship music will include contemporary worship songs and updated hymns using amplified instruments, drums and keyboards led by our talented worship team. Thoughtful prayers, Scripture reflections, art slides or video clips will be incorporated into the service with the aim that every service will inspire worshippers to express love and praise to God in a meaningful way.
What you can expect during contemporary worship:
- Upbeat, contemporary worship songs as well as softer, more intimate songs of personal devotion and worship with God
- Thoughtful video clips, art, and readings to deepen your worship experience
- Meaningful ways to talk to and listen to God
- Special worship elements (varies weekly) designed to engage your heart and mind in the worship of God
- Biblically based sermons designed to inspire and deepen your journey of faith
- Friendly people who want you to know the joy of sharing life together
